Encouraging & Empowering Our Youth

The Crispy Cutts Mentoring Program intends to serve families who live in Lee County, Mississippi. The program was founded to address a number of challenges in the target community such as family support, educational success, and self-sufficiency. Our 2014 survey of over 80 parents in the local community showed a need for resources such as food and healthcare, and a dire need of adult role models and positive influences for their children.

Community Support

Our goal is to support the social, emotional, mental, and physical well being of the local youth. We will provide over 900 students with free haircuts and monthly mentoring opportunities.

They were energetic and dependable which was a huge benefit for me. The children were consistently complimentary of the quality of the cuts that they received. Moreover, the Crispy Cutts Barbers were right there in the mix with the students providing encouraging words that were right on par with the theme of the program. I feel like Crispy Cutts bought into the genuine mission which was to bring mentorship and support through barbering to the kids. I would not have been able to successfully implement the program had it not been for these barbers and their dedication.

Over 50 high risk parents will have the opportunity to attend parenting classes covering topics such as stress & anger management, child development, and interpersonal relationships.

Academic Success & Self-Sufficiency

CCMP supports youth success in not only peer and family relationships, we promote youth success in education, drug prevention, and law enforcement contact.

From the beginning of Game Changers 180's student-athlete development program in 2014, Crispy Cutts Barbershop has been an amazing supporting contributor to the lives of students at Stone Mountain High School's athletic department. Although he resides in Tupelo, MS, he took it upon himself to raise money, travel to attend our program in Atlanta, GA and supply free haircuts on numerous occasions. The visits were so frequent, the students and parents began to ask 'When are we going to have free haircuts again?' Mr. Crayton and his team of professional barbers were a great addition to the success of our program. We were able to serve 855 students, parents and coaches combined from their financial contribution and hair cutting services.
